Chev half track conversion
Spent some time today looking through information and came across this reference to the 134" WD 4x4 Chassis Half Track Conversion.
I was going to retype the text, but hopefully the pic will be readable and get the information across. report dated June 1944. Last edited by Darrin Wright; 24-06-09 at 13:45.

Yes, this is the vehicle in question. This is my photo when I saw it on the back of the truck in the caravan park.
As for the other half track, very creative, I saw some years ago down in Gippsland an Army Acco with a half track rear for sale in a car yard. Not sure what happened to it.

That's right, Ron. The pictured truck is a recent replica of a WW2 Australian vehicle, being rebuilt under the name Project Phoenix.

Hi Darrin and Ron - Darrin, I obtained the complete file from the National Archives after the heads-up from Ian Fawbert. Ian, if you are out there I have a copy of this for you. I emailed you a while back but have had no response.
Ron - the track was tight until I drove it and everythingh loosened up. All will eventually be fixed. Bob
