seat covers
Has anyone made seat covers from patterns for the 13 cab? and would they be willing to share them with me, mabey a Pdf file or such!

Covers
Jason, We (the Hammond Barn team) provided used cloth samples to Mr. Guy Vapeur for him to tinker with. I am not sure if he is making patterns, but we surely will ask him if he is.
I am not aware of an online pattern, but if it exists, the MLU brains trust will no doubt dig it up.

Thanks, I picked up a set of seats on the weekend, that short or a good cleaning dident need much work,I have a old singer sewing machine at work and was thinking i would give her a spin.

Keep in mind....
Hi Jason
As previously explained Guy is looking into reproducing the seat covers ( and other OD canvas thingnies) using an industrial machine. On close examination there are quite a few places were you need to stitch through 4 layers of fabric...... the piping for example.... which requires a strudy machine. Guy is also sourcing the dot fasteners for the seats. Finding a good source of the heavy OD fabric is also a problem...... getting a full xxx number of yards.... I mean meters..... is expensive....very few retailer will sell by the meter on the good stuff. Stew Loy did have contacts with a fabricator that made tarps for our trucks but not sure if they want to sell in small batches when they need to buy a full roll. Unless we did a collective bulk purchase amongst MLUers. Bob C

I have an industrial machine also,it may even have made cmp cushins in the past...old military one! Canvass is not a problem as i have a roll squirled away for a rainy day to do museum projects with. Lift the dot fasteners can be bought from Fastenal or so there big blue bible says they can but they come chromed...flat black spray paint before says they wont be chrome for long. Just looking for some dementions, more for the seat back as the bottom from photos looks easy.

Have you ever tried......
....using gun blueing solution....also comes in black.
It works wonders and is much more permanent than black paint. I use it on new bolt heads when I want the paint to stick better. Bob C.
