A propos your post...although all else appear to be WS No 19 related, the spike above the insulator is for a C42 set.
Or, maybe since C42s were made by Plessey, that spike might be part of a Clansman radio kit. FWIW.

The set is for a 34' D' Rods Antenna, this set is the British alternative for which the 34'/20' Canadian Antenna/Mast were developed to replace in 43/44. Comes with, 'D' Rods, spike, insulator, stays, plates, reamer, spares, pins, 'F' Rod adapter and a canvas 'golf' bag to carry it all in. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Geoff |

Hi, I need item 10, Insulator, but only really need the clamp part on top of the insulator, so one with a damaged insulator is also fine.
kevin.

That is the ground spike and insulator associated with the 34ft telescopic mast, most commonly associated with the WS52.
Though... perhaps there is a significant difference between aerial masts used by the Canadian Army versus those used by the British army. Tim |
