Those kits on e-bay may be for 1 1/2in cylinders and have lovely stainless spring, but I think they might be more suited to a GMC rather than CMP. The CMP cylinder pistons have a "Split post" on the outer side of the piston to locate the brake shoe, with a steel insert that actually bears on the shoe. The type on e-bay don't have this and would rely on the steel shoe pressing into the alloy piston, not too safe.

Good observation Tony.......
I will have to check my kits when they come in...... Any comments with CMP users that may have worked on the Ford F15a.....is the Ford perchance different than the Chev version...??? do they all have that tab......??? From my limited experience in both modern and CMP brakes systems, I have never seen a cylinder cup that did not have a special ear/slot for the brake shoe end to fit into..... on some dodges it is only a raised ridge but there is some provision for the shoe to sit in.....
