Morris-Commercial Wireless info needed

A Dutch friend of mine has recently bought a Morris-Commercial C4 15-cwt 4x2 Wireless Truck. Apparently (haven't seen it yet), it is in good nick but the wireless body seems to have been altered inside.

Who can provide information and/or interior views of the wireless body?

Would that be the one that Hendrik van Oorspronk posted on the forum before?
I might have some info on the exterior, but sadly not the interior.

Here is my scaled version, a model I did about 10 years ago.


I wasn't able to find any info on the interior back than, so painted the inside black to cover up the empty house type body. I always thought the interior would have been crowded with equipment, but since found out that it isn't much more than a radio set, table and generator.

Some of the realistic rubber tyres that came with certain model kits cracked like that within a few months of finishing. I changed over to resin copies to get away from this fault.

Les are they the Tamiya LRDG Chev kit wheels?

Nice photo.

The motorcycle is an Ariel WNG, and the wireless truck does not look like a Morris..........you can see the bottom edge of the windscreens is horizontal, unlike MCC models, I am going for a Guy Ant.

somewhere in MLU someone was asking about these small wooden body wireless CMP's and I thought This may help.

While browsing the AWM data banks I found the photo below with the caption....

Hanno I did not mean this thread which is a Morris Commercial thread but elsewhere in perhaps the restoration forum someone was talking about an 11 or 12 cab CMP with this type of body on it.

Sorry I cannot help with interior photos at this stage however I am looking through a big file of wireless photos now and if anything turns up I will post copies.

The set is a Australian STC W.S. 109 , total production of these was around 1500 units from 1939 to 1942. These sets are relatively scarce now but there are a few examples to be found if you are lucky. I have successfully used one of these sets on air in the AM mode between my location and Adelaide, a fair distance. The transmitter has provision for either a xtal frequency or the VFO. Unlike many other sets, the internal layout allows for easy access for repairs of the receiver and transmitter .

Change of subject: I did have a 1944 RAF manual for the MW Bedford fitted with a house type body . In a moment of madness I gave the manual to somebody..can't remember who.
