Default What are they

HI everyone.

I have come across some parts that came with my truck. Im not too sure as to what they are.

The first one looks like on on the front fender or rear lights on a CMP. Looking at other photos of these lights they appear shorter then what I have.

Any ideas?

This is my next unkown item.

At first i thougt it may have been one of the hood, dog house hold down clips. But it is way to short for them.

Any ideas.

The first item is the convoy light. This mounted on a bracket on a rear crossmember and shone down on to the rear of the diff housing. A large white circle was painted on the diff, being illuminated it was visible to following drivers, but not presumably to Aircraft. It is essentially the same lamp as the front marker lights with an extension tube to concentrate the light to a narrower beam. It was wired as part of the tail light circuit and was switched between the tail lights and the Convoy light by the "Red-White Switch" at the rear of the chassis frame.
2nd item is a puzzle. It could be one of the clamps that holds the Vacuum hose that runs to the brake booster?

Hi Jordan, 2nd item looks to me like one of the " hooks" that is mounted on the rear of the cab, where the upper and lower sections are joined. These are to hold the side curtain bag behind the seats.

Thanks for the info on the light. I will have to crawl under neath next time im working on the truck to see if the bracket is still there.

I'll also take a look in the cab for any holes that might have been used to support those brackets.

Anyone else have any other ideas for the use of these things

I'll go along with Jeff Caldwell's posting about the thingie which he thinks is one of 5 (6?) hooks which are bolted to the cab rear, right where the cab roof and lower cab seam is.

As Jeff said, its a series of hangars which hold the canvas bag into which the side curtains are stored.
