Default $$$$ Ctl-36$$$$$$$

Just want to know if this is Kosha or am I getting taken?

I got an estimate on a New Pivot Plate to be made new, with the old internal parts reattached, just the steel pivot plate$500.00 , is this the norm? seem quite expensive for a flat piece of steel . cheers

they sure saw you comming.
the best way to find a item here is to get the book, take a photo of the page you need and hilight the part you are looking for. then post it and then the fun starts and everyone knows what you are looking for.
thanks

i can have someone take a look at it,
but a word of caution!!!!
if you are going to stear with your breaks you probably need to replace the rod that attaches into the break piston and screws into the H bracket . its a weak link in the breaking system. of the 6 break pistons i have on my carriers all but 1 are bent, cracked or even sheared in half!!!! you might want to think of replacing them like i have.

you are in luck
i just had some made and im selling the extras at my cost. dont have a price yet but its only at my cost. this is NO BS i had one break on me last month and my carrier has been laied up sence then. i will have everything together tomorrow. but i will tell you that having that section snap opened my eyes. get a extra set of springs that rob is having made too. either that or the next time you need a set you will be paying $200 for each spring.

i will have the cost for the brake section monday or tuesday

OK Dave , I'm on your priority list for 2 brake rods, i already put 3 sets of orders in from rob on brake springs last week, view the tread mate, can you find out on the pivot plate to for me , What I was told it wasent the cutting it was the Special steel involved, i'm not looking for special steel i'm looking for a plan piece of steel , if i have to cut it out with a hacksaw for 2 years then so be it, at least i know i accomplished something in carrier life
