By now this will have saturated most media. Here's a larger image of the damage. Must've been fairly scary onboard when the decompression happened, and I wonder how much luggage went out - I had been under the impression the luggage on 747s was inside bomb-proof containers.

Mmm, does look like it was blown outwards. It will be interesting to see the end cause of the incident!

According to news up here there is two oxygen bottles located in that area and one is missing fueling the speculation that this missing cylinder exploded. Qantas has been ordered to check all the oxygen bottles on it's fleet of 747's which number about 47 aircraft. I'm just glad that apart from soiled underwear no one was hurt.
