Unlike Hanno, I do not have the ability to delve into MLU and MLU Classic to retrieve the information that I need! Can anyone remind me please what these trucks are? Diamond T workshop 968/9 or 975A and Dodge...D30 or D60S?
![]() The C60S Fords on the line are Ambulances to BRITISH order, with the Lindsay type house bodies, by the way. ![]() Last edited by David_Hayward (RIP); 24-12-03 at 11:34. |

![]() ![]() Excuse my ignorance but which model is this Ford chassis please? I am conjecting F60S to go with the Lindsay Ambulance bodies. Also we know the Thorneycroft wrecker is next to a '40 Ford G/S but what are the other two vehicles please? We did solve the query before but...yes I forgot! ![]() Last edited by David_Hayward (RIP); 24-12-03 at 17:13. |

David,
I am not sure but I think the trucks in the last picture are Fordson WOT 2, probably the H version (WOT 2H) because of the large late type windshield and doors. Alex van de Wetering |

Thanks Alex. I query whether the '40 Ford is an EC098TFS to Contract S/M 2004/V 2414...3 ton 158" wheelbase.

I looked up Wheels & Tracks, and wondered if the DTs were 975A with Machinery H bodies? The bodies do not look like pure G/S to me. They were of course to Canadian order, not British..note "CMD" prefix.

Could it be an F30? note the absence of spring helpers on the rear axle. do you know when the picture was taken? at a guess early 1943? regards Pete |

Pete, I reckon 1943 as well. I had thought of an F30 as well but discounted it.

Merry Christmas David; The body type on the "T" could be either a"Mach H" or an "RE 25 KW". Both these used the body type shown in the photo. It is hard to tell without the internal fittings visible. The RE 25 KW had a gantry beam in the centre of the bows, running fore and aft, to aid in lowering various heavy shop tools to the ground or vice versa. Both bodies had drop side panels that could be used as workbenches. Hope this helps.
Cheers, Bill |
