Default Some performances of some trucks...

Hello!

1. Does anyone know such a data for Canadian-built Ford FC60L and Chevrolet CC60L (3t, 4x2 GS):
Fuel tank capacity
Fuel consumption (road/off-road)
maximum allowable road/off-road speed
maximum road/off-road range
??

2. Same question for CMP Ford F60L and Chevrolet C60L (3t, 4x4).
To my great surprise I was unable to find the info I need in the web... A lot of things related to CMP except these simple data! I've found such a data in the Encyclopedia of Weapons of World War II (Chris Bishop):
Ford F60 - max speed 80 km/h (50mph), range 270km (168 miles)
However the range looks suspiciously short to me (same source gives 370km (230 miles) for Bedford QLD ... with 61km (38mph) speed though)!

3. Same for Chevy 15cwt 1311x3 and Chevy 30cwt 1533X2
I just know that max range of Chevy 30cwt 1533X2 with a single fuel tank was about 240 miles (386km)...

Thanks, Leon

PS: I think this topic could be the suitable place for such a questions in the future! No?

Leon,

The Bedford QLD had a 28 gallon petrol tank which helps increase the range. I think the F60 had a capacity of 24 gallons. Bedford has a better miles per gallon rate than the Ford as well.

Default Data for C60S Pattern 13

Here is the link to the data page on my 1942 C60S Pattern 13. http://www.canadianmilitarypattern.c...DATASHEET.html
Your question reminds me that I need to redo this sheet and add the performance figures now that the truck has a 261 instead of the 216

Cheers Phil

Leon,

Did you check http://www.mapleleafup.org/vehicles/softskin/specs.html?

I will see if my manuals have more info.

Hi Hanno

I was thinking about the specifications in the manual this afternoon as I was taking my HUP out for fresh gas, first trip of the spring. When I got back and turned on the computer (afternoon MLU fix) saw your message.

The specifications on MLU are basically the same thought I think there are some lines missing. Will have to look at the early and late manuals to see if they added stuff along the way.

Do you thing it would be worth scanning and posting the pages from the manual?
