Default Always room for one more.

Here is my field of dreams, as it were, so one more nightmare isn't going to make any difference now.
My son Neil, who is a mechanic for 1RCR, was home this past week and he has been helping out on the engine work. We found the oil pan to be reasonabley clean, with minimal sludge and water and no rust. The splash trays were clean and the oil tubes clear, with oil flow to all the rockers. When we had the oil pan off Neil said the cylinder walls did not feel too have much wear. We are hoping the engine does not have a lot of miles on it.
We pulled the truck to try and start it, with poor results. The engine would run but wanted to race instead of idle when not under load. We had so much oil all over the engine that we will try again later when we have more time and can slowly heat the oil off the manifolds.
Bob, the deck of the cargo box will probably be in good enough condition to re-build the box on. I will need a pattern for a tail gate though.
I will do updates as we make more progress. Thanks for the comments and offers of help from everyone.
