The lad is Royal Canadian Artillery,,same regiment as my dad was during the big one..
Can't tell which regiment but someone will know..

And a big thank you.

The lad as you say, is still with us age 89.

Was stationed in the Littlehampton area of West Sussex, England and come from the Winnipeg area.

Going to be in a book a friend and I are writting about the Canadians in West Sussex during WW2.

Would love to here from anyone with any info on Canadians, men and units etc.

Treasure that old lad..he was a young'un once and a hero ..(Still is)
Rush out and get him George Blackburns books..
George was Royal Canadian Artillery Forward Observation Officer..(a FOO).
He wrote of his experiences and survived the war..he lived down the street from me and I spent Nov.11 with George visiting George in hospital where he was suffering from a stroke..two years ago..He passed away a few months later but he was a hell of a guy ..
I have fond memorys of our time together.
