Hi all, I am in the process of making a couple of sets of carrier bins to take to corowa if anyone is interested. If there is any in particular that is required just give me a pm. The boxes are quite accurate as I am getting my measurements from originals.

The cost will be around $250 each as there is a huge amount of work involved and they will be painted.

Hi Colin,
Excellent work on the boxes. A couple of questions; Do they come with the latches you showed being manufactured in your other post? Will you also be making the three smaller boxes that mount in the rear compartment? I'm definately interested in a set. I'll send you further detailis in a PM. Thanks. Ian |

Colin, as usual top quality work. Like Ian I was wondering when you are reproducing the drivers tool box.

Hi Ian, they will definately have the correct latches on them and I will have some of the rear boxes as well.
Hi Euan, if I can get enough time I will make some drivers tool boxes. It just depends if I can make the die's to produce the hinges but I will do my best. regards Colin. |

Hi all, I have finished the rear boxes and have started making some 2pdr drivers heat shields. I will also have 1 or 2 gear change mechs as well.

Heat shields finished. They are fully welded with 25mm thick fibrocement sheeting inside as a replacement for the original aspestos they used back then. I also did the same in my mortar carrier as it is exactly the same and it works a treat, but it does make them quite heavy.

Your a machine! If you'd been around in the war, you woulda shortened it! Go and say hello to your wife and kids.. Do they recognise you? (I know they do)
Are you intending to tool up to make tail lights?,...or are they easy to get in Oz?

Work, work must work.No time to eat MUST WORK. Thanks Lynn I will do just that. Actually I get my kids up every morning, get them dressed, make them breakfast, make their lunch then drive them to school. Come home and go straight to the shed and stay there till I have to get them from school or I feel hungary. I love weekends cause my wife is home and I don't have to go inside at all, I can just work
![]() ![]() ![]() I have given some thought to the tail lights so you will be the first one I tell if I do them. Hmmmm, metal spinning! that sounds interesting. ![]() Colin. ![]() |
