Not wanting to take away from the performance of the athletes or blow my horn, in early December I carried the Olympic flame. The Canadian Gulf War Veterans Association was offered a dozen slots across the country. I put in for three different days, and was picked for the one furthest from home and earliest in the day. So, at 0804hrs on 5 Dec I legged it about 400m up hill in St George de Beauce, Quebec. My section started at the little town war memorial. It was over in less than 5 minutes, but something the family will never forget.

Terry, what an honour to have carried the torch. I hope you got some photos to share.
