Haven't seen too many of these so let's get started.
This photo is from the RAF station at Camp Borden, 1 hour north of Toronto, Ontario. The 'car' is the airfields firetruck.

Look like they are both Fords, fire truck a T, other a long wheelbase, is that a TT ?

I note the rope around the front axle on the firetruck, I can only guess that this is to restrict the movement to stop bouncing, a sort of "check strap" !

Well done Clive i had been looking at some of my WW1 stuff with at some time starting a thread, looks like its taking off with avengence.
A couple of items to be included first a Holt semi tracked artillery tractor, im not sure what the chap on the left is up to probably be one or two comments to follow the second is two AEC 3 tonners of the royal navy loaded with jolly jack tars outside the Anchor inn. Bet they hit the rum hard

I know this isn't a softskin but it's a good thread to include this WW I vehicle. Found the pic on the internet with the caption: Canadian Motor Machine Gun detachment; Somme 1917. I've never seen such a vehicle. Can anyone i.d. it?

These armoured waggons (note original spelling) were manufactured by Auto Car of the US. BGen Brutinel, an ex-pat Frenchman in Canada, raised, in Ottawa, the 1st Motor Machine Gun Brigade. He obtained a number of these as well as an ambulance, stores cars, etc.. Archives has a good selection of photos but none seems to be on-line.

Thanks Clive for I.D.'ing this vehicle. I wonder how mobile it was in the mud of the Western Front! Quick question...is that an officer trying to check the air pressure?!?
