I was wondering if any one could identify this antenna mount. It has a part # of 5820-21-897-1408 and any info as to what it was used for would be great as I am unsure as to its application but seams to be painted in the older semigloss olive color.

I don't think it's an antenna mount, Dave - pretty sure it's the security cover that's used overtop of the mounting base used to mount the TSEC/KY-57 VINSON box used in conjunction with the RT-524 and friends. Basically that thing goes on the table with the open side down, then the mount for the KY-57 goes inside it, then you run bolts through both pieces and into your mounting surface (the holes would line up between bracket and KY-57 base.) The holes in the sides would be to run a rod or two through with a padlock on one end to stop people from removing the KY-57 from the enclosure. I think it's also designed so you can bolt another one of them on top in piggyback fashion. Without having it in front of me to check the holes in relation to a KY-57 mount I can't say for certain...but I'm 80% sure. Next time you're out this way for the next Great Galiano Ordnance Disposal you can bring it out and I'll check it.

Yeah..I could use two of them to go with my KY-57s. I've got the American brackets on them right now but it'd be nice to get it right.

Hello
I have seen photos of this as a guard for the KY-57. I have also seen it as an antennae mount on a side of a vehicle. I am looking for the vehicle power adapter for my KY-57 as well as the CDN instalation instructions for the M151 A2. Thanks Eric

It is the secure box for the KY but rods were not used in front, that would have interfered with the key cables. We used a secure lock through the holes in the side of the box that lined up with the handles on the Vinson. I don't think I have ever seen the boxes used as antena mounts though? Hope this helps.

Are you sure it was not one of these brackets mounted on the side for an antenna?

Rob...I recognize the brkt to the left (dark shaded) which was typically used for a dual IKEE, but the other, connected one, doesn't look like what the original poster had in mind.
...or are my eyes astigmatically challenged? ![]()
