These were the 1920's version of the CDSW seen later . Steep climbing on the tracks  The dual drive rear articulating axle was a WD patent design. It was offered to UK truck builders under the proviso that the trucks would be taken into military service in times of war. The 6X4 wasn't much of a seller in civilian markets.
