Default Rumour about a carrier for sale near Clinton, B.C.

Any credence to this rumour? Someone told me that last year they saw a carrier parked beside the highway near Clinton, B.C. and that it was for sale...

I'll be making a trip up there in a month to investigate, but I thought I'd see if anyone else has heard or seen of it?

Just a word to the wise...keep stuff like this to yourself!
Even your most trusted friends will poach goodies right from under you. I have found this out the hard way over the years.

Default Carrier

Hey Hans

It is kind of true...yes there was a carrier tub for sale there, however it sold a couple of years ago. Not sure where it went but if they guy paid what I was told it was selling for he is a little too dedicated. I talked to the person selling it and he wanted 1000 bucks for it, it was an empty tub with the rear axle wheels and tracks, otherwise absolutly nothing inside.

Some character put plywood around it and stuck a pvc tube out the front to look like a gun.

That was the one that was for sale at the second hand store in Clinton. As stated there wasn't much to it. $1000, gee he came down in price since I last saw it.

Wink Carrier

The Clinton carrier was a parts carrier, the Smithers one sold for $3000.
Had been used for logging, Missing some armour, engine turned over
went to Alberta (dealer). It will be restored.

I heard it was a tub as well. As I have some spare parts I thought I could cobble together a display carrier to serve as a monument for the Royal Westminster Regiment...
