Default Iltis tarp source?

Does anyone know if there is a (preferably westcoast) source of NOS or repro Ilitis tarps? My buddy's Iltis top is garbage and he's looking for a new one.

Yep.
That's about the price of a new tarp. And be prepared to wait for a day that's 30+ degrees out, they're VERY tight when they go on.
You might, if you had an old one, get someone in the business of doing so, to make you a new one, but I have no idea how much that would be. Plus, you'd have to get or make a new front piece for the tarp anyway.

Frankly I think the price is a steal and I would buy two and deep storage one.

The prices are only going to go up and up.

The availability of parts is only going to get worse.

You can be thankful your not working on something that is older and from abroad.

Consider the fact that repro jeep canvas is around $500, not including the doors etc, its not bad...At least you'd be getting the real deal.
