I think the ones I got recently came from Mac's Auto Parts in the US. They were labelled up with the correctly Ford part number and fitted correctly, think they were made in Taiwan ! regards, Richard

I cant believe that with an OD an ID and a height you cant get something sourced from a good supplier.
There are very few I cant source if I go to the right supplier. Did all of our BV20 roadwheel seals exactly that way at a fraction of the OEM cost. R |

Merely getting the ID and OD for that seal won't cut it as you need the grease slinger that is built onto the seal.
You won't beat MAC's price on that seal. Yes, you can buy it locally under National part number 5751 (if memory serves) , but in my experience the local jobbers wanted $70 for that seal. Last time I looked MAC's was around the $20 mark. The NSN for this seal (5330-00-286-6873) is still valid. A search shows the US military pay $30.26 each for them. |

Shaun
Mine came from Mac's and were the cheapest I could find. It did take two attempts as I got the size wrong to start with!!!! An international phone call was MUCH easier than trying to use their web site for an international order. You're welcome to my first attempt if you like :-)) All the best Ben |

That might be so in a lot of cases, but on older equipment there are often sizes and types no longer available, in the case of the Ford seal the sealing lip is offset and has been said it has a slinger which matches a cone in the hub. I am on a restoration at present where a good number of transmission seals will be made to pattern for me due to peculiarites in sizes. For interest, the Ford seal was used from late 1930's right through to the 70's and maybe later.

I think you mean Ford truck parts are easy to get, as opposed to carrier specific parts (which are not) You made the clutch lever didnt you?
I am still waiting for someone to tell me they have a good Canadian steering wheel for me
