chassis number G7117

Can anyone help me in locating where the chassis number is stamped on a G7117.

Hi Nigel, do you have your data plates? or ownership paperwork for the truck?if not you are out of luck , Chev did not stamp info into the frames unlike the CCKW , hope this helps ,

I have seen some trucks stamped on top of the frame rail in front of the steering box. I am not sure if your truck would be stamped there, but worth a look. In general many manufacturers didn't start stamping the chassis until the 1950's.
