I found this coil to install in my CMP. Rare HT head threaded with shielding nut. Pre war? Pos war?

It looks like a 1941 to 1948 Ford coil.

I dont think I have ever seen one with the threaded nut for the high tension lead. Was this for waterproofing?

Thanks Rob for the correction. I also haven’t seen the coil with the threaded connection for the high tension wire. I was just looking at the shape of the coil. Next time I will look at all the pictures!
