I found this coil to install in my CMP. Rare HT head threaded with shielding nut. Pre war? Pos war?

Default Ford coil

It looks like a 1941 to 1948 Ford coil.

I dont think I have ever seen one with the threaded nut for the high tension lead. Was this for waterproofing?
