Default M100 CDN wheels

In response to a plea for 16" Jeep tires, I did a survey of my mounted and dismounted wheels and tires. I was confused by the wheels on the trailer. They are 15" not 16", like I expected. The previous owner put on commercial TOYO brand winter tires. Could these wheels have come from a Korean War vintage M38, or WWII MB / GPW?

Secondly, why would a 1954-era trailer be a different size from the simulataneous post-war M38A1 buys? Are those 15" wheels any more valuable than 16's? Should I be flogging them on e-pay?

Although I didn't scrutinize your rims last time I was over, I doubt that they are result of anything other than a previous owner wanting something cheaper/easier to find than the 16" tubed pizza cutter NDT/NDCC tires. The 5 on 5.5 lug pattern is very common, and has been on nearly every Jeep (except J Trucks, Wagoneers and early Cherokees) from 1940s right up to end of the CJ era in 1986.

The 5X5.5 has also been used on Ford trucks forever.....the rims may be CJ or else Ford truck. Either way, they are not particularly desirable.
