The CMP/Convoy weekend ( 3rd annual) is closing in quickly !! This event will be held the weekend of June 25th, 26th, and 27th in Chatsworth, Ontario. for more information http://www.bmts.com/~caldwell/cc3.htm

AFAIK the following MLUers, whose names you're most likely to recognize, will attend...

Geoff Winnington-Ball, Bruce Parker, Frank Misztal, Stewart Loy (all being accommodated at my place)...Robert Dabkowsky, Chris Vickery...plus others of the same collecting/restoring persuasion who might not lurk about the MLU forum.

The Caldwell brothers probably have an up to date list of attendees which is more conclusive than my list.

Don't you wish you could attend, Karman? If you did, we could probably get Mark Tonner to also come to torment you!

Yes, it would be nice to be there for the weekend but if Mark would be there, I'd insist that Denise come along because I sent her ALL of my duct tape ... she'd need to bring it. I don't think that our Mark would be as accommodating about bringing the tape as it's for him.

I did get very excited to notice that the 25th falls on a FRYDAY ... and I almost fell off my chair because the excitement was just TOO too much for me. Temptation ... oh dear me I just KNOW I shall dream of FRY PANS every nite now. Oh sigh.

(Highly unlikley I can get there for that event anyways)

I'd love to do that Jon, but I have to be elsewhere on the 25th, so I guess Yappy gets a reprieve and besides, if she did attend, we'd probably all get SMACKED up side of the head with a frying pan....if she can reach that high...

Posted a reply before but read that many posting where lost due to a hacker...

Anyhow Just wanted to say thanks to all that attended CC#3, we had a great time, and once again met some people for the first time. A big thanks to all who donated items for the prize table, and special thanks to Jon Skagfeld for the loaning of the tent and the 19 set display he did provided for the event !!!

Its great to see more and more people attending these get togethers, for those of us online we sometimes forget that we are a small minority of the MV group!! Every year I am amazed to discover all these other people with the same interests and they litterally have TONS of stuff !!!! But they are not computer users and most never intent to be. So no matter where you live get out and attend some of these events in your area. Be prepared to meet some great people and make some new friends!!
For those in Ontario, the next get together is the West End BBQ in Acton , Ont Aug 14th, hope to see you there !!!!

Thanks once again for making our event a success, look forward to seeing you again next June at CC#4
