Default Proposed model

Hi everyone! Now, I need to ask an opinion please! I have proposed to Battlezone Miniatures that they commission a 1/32nd scale resin-and-white metal truck. This would be accompaniable by various field artillery pieces in 1/32nd plus figures if required.

Now, BM were thinking of a MCC C8 rebuild, but is there more interest for a Chevrolet C-GT that could be converted if required to a G/S truck say. This would be the first in a series I hope but to be honest there would have to be at least say 20 sold to pay for the prototype to be produced from which the moulds could be taken.

Are there any plans available for the C-GT apsrt from those in Dr Gregg's book?

SECOND THOUGHTS: I am rather troubled though as to whether anyone would buy in 1/32nd, on reflection, as this might be 'non-standard'. Guns in 1/32nd sell of course, i.e. 54 mm, as they go with soliders. I know you can mix 1/32 and 1/35 to a certain extent...it would appear that 1/32nd plastic soliders and 1/35th trucks go all right. However would anyone still buy?

My opinion is that 1/35 would sell far better and easier then 1/32.

As to CGT and FGT these have been done in plastic before and are still availiable at a reasonable price. I personally would be doing a gun portee or similar and forget the CGT.

Of course the gun tractor that has not been done is the Australian #8 & #9 and these would be a better seller then the Canadian CGT.

these are personal opions only

Default 1/35

is also my sugestion..

And for sure I am sure there will be easier to sell a CMP rather than the MCC.
I have a two CGT in 1/35 and one CGT in 1/1 and a wreck so thats covered.
Same with C15A
But I only have a 1/1 C60L so it would be nice to have one in 1/35
But thats me...

As Cliff says the CGT is in the modeller shop today, so with the C15A and you can build a C8A usin Plus model togheter with Tamya.
I guess modellers and MV colectors would like to have a vehicle on the bookshelf that most have seen in real life, so a C60L is my guess for what will sell the best. At least places that did not have those Australian local pattern trucks..
And it need to be acurate.
Also knoes your thoughts behind a CGT David, you want to sell those guns too...

But then again, price is important. Would I buy a 1/35 or 1/32 scale model if I could get a 1/1 project for the same price?? I guess it is possible in Norway. But then you need a big bookshelf...

Rolf

I would be more than happy to buy a CMP in any configuration in 1/35 scale an Aussie Ford tipper would be preffered.

Default 1/32 MCC

Because no-one produces a MCC tractor, and as as result of finding someone who can produce a master at a fraction of the previous cost we are going for the MCC first and then for CMPs.

Here here, Cliff
Something like this would be enough to make me into a modeler... although the real thing is far more tempting!

Keith that FGT is on my list of builds in 1/35 scale and once the F60L is finished and ready to mold I will be starting this one.

No offence David but I think you are doing the wrong model in the wrong scale.

Once again this is only my opinion and I wish you luck with your model project David.

Regards
Cliff

Default 1/32

The problem is that it has to be 1:32 scale to match up with artillery pieces. To this day this novice at modelling cannot understand why there is 54 mm or 1:32 scale figures and then models in 1:35. The 1:32 scale is also used in the States for models and also a Garden Railway.

We also have the plans for the MCC tractor rebuild! However I agree that the next model must be a CMP!! At the low-cost model-making costs quoted we can afford to do that.
