I am not certain, but I think those were the carbs on the old GPUs when they were powered by the Dodge 318. DND later re-powered them to Diesel back in the mid 90s. The NSN is certainly correct for that the 80s time period.
Just checked the old microfiche and yep, that's what they were for. |

Ground Power Unit....basically a big 28 Volt generator trailer used to start aircraft. We had em by the dozen when I was in Moose Jaw.
