Wanted: GPW parts

Hi,

A friend of mine is looking for GPW parts. Last year, he bought a GPW in poor condition and it lacks many parts such as leaf springs, air filter, driving shafts and several other parts. On the Ontario side, would anyone have a GPW in poor condition for sale on which he could cannibalize parts?

PM me and i will give you my number. call after 7. I'm going to look at a1944 MB friday. He may have parts. I have parts that are F script that I was gonna use on mine but if I can get some Willys parts I'd use those.

There is a jeep listed on Kijiji right now for parts, hard to tell from the pics whether or not is is a MB or GPW.

That is the one I am going to look at. He says it's around a 1944/45 but it has no glove box but has a tailgate. Still has tub hood and most parts. He has another MB he is working on so this one is a donor.

There is a really good donor just rusting away up the road from me, unfortunately the owner is impossible to negotiate with. It has been sitting up there for the last 10 years, more like 40 from what I've been told, such a shame and in fact is a 1942 CDLV 505... ( I know this because I peeked at the data plates.)

Ironic isnt it? We'd love to have it and they would rather let it rot. Did you notice the serial number? I met guy today that showed me 2 Chevy CMP trucks and parts but no longer owns them. Sold them with the business. He is willing to talk to the new owner of my behalf if I want them.
I will talk to the guy on Saturday with the MB and see what we can get for your friend. He's asking $1000 on kijiji. Interested in the tub. He wants $300 for that.
