Default Guy Quad

Guy Quad on a NSW farm . Note the date Feb. 1945.....long time before the war finished.
There is a running Guy Quad owned by Ian S. who is located at Temora ! Could this be the same truck ?

They were releasing British W.D. type vehicles as early as Nov. 1944 to Bush Fire brigades and essential users i.e. farmers. And, as early as Feb. 1944, the army was loaning vehicles to Bush fire Brigades.
Seems by 1944 there was no shortage of vehicles for the army, instead, they had a surplus of vehicles ! Only a couple of years earlier they were 'Impressing' vehicles from civilians who had no choice but to give up their truck - how quickly the situation changed.

Default Port Lincoln Times article

That is my Dad and a family friend Peter.
Anzac Day Parade down the main street of Pt Lincoln SA.
I was in the Army in Sydney at that point.

The Bren Gun Carrier is currently located in Albury Wodonga (Victoria) and is for sale.
The C15A is also in Albury Wodonga awaiting a freshen up and to get it back on the road.

Default More

More info has come to light....Hmm Guy's Quads. Mr. Guy and his Quads https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/a...za%20temora%22

Direct from 'The horse's mouth' There were two Guy Quads in the Batlow NSW district, working in the timber industry.

My intrepid informer wrote, there was another one at Griffith NSW as well.

Think the Eltham Vic. running rolling chassis went to Narre Warren ?

Default Another

This would be a Guy Ant 4X4 at Urana , the date matches with the correct time-line.

Another one at Marrar near Junee NSW.

Wodonga: has the correct tyre size.

Artillery Ant:
