Received a phone call today from a restorer that wanted to know where he could get an ignition resistor for a Ford V8 SV engine. Apparently these engines used a resistor to reduce the power to the coil to 4 volts.
The fellow is in the Seymour, Victoria area so would be looking at Melbourne based suppliers. I advised him of the existence of the MLU forum so as he will see any responses and possibly even get onboard. David

Robert ended up purchasing a resistor from a supplier of old Ford parts somewhere in Melbourne for $10.
Thanks for the responses. David
