WWII 6-volt Siren, US Army, Federal Model EG CAD $300 plus shipping.
[IMG] ![]() Yes it works! Original Olive Drab paint is under the splashed on red, so it was likely mounted on a US Army or USAAC firetruck. DATE MADE? I do not know for sure. Some people think 1950s, but because it is obviously military and 6-Volt I believe it is WWII as that was the voltage used on most military vehicle at that time. By 1950 the USA and by 1951 Canada were changing over to 24-Volt military systems for vehicles. If anyone had evidence such as an old catalogue etc. I would be interested to know the date time period for sure. It is heavy. No apparent damage other than flaking paint and no alterations since military service (assuming the red was wartime due to the sloppy red paint job. Great for safety for an armoured vehicle, or for parade use, or ideally to complete an ambulance, firetruck, Military Police vehicle, or General's vehicle. [IMG] ![]() [IMG] ![]()
