The C21UCM series (Canadian) 3" mortar carriers c. 1942-1945 can be seen with ungarnished 'shrimp' nets. Some carrier manuals state net dimensions as 24' x 24'. Others for 3" mortar carrier states it is 25' x 12' and stowed "Strapped on rear of carrier". The stowage for the Canadian mortar carriers shows the camo net above the off-side fuel tank. This is similar to the British No-1 MK-II mortar carrier stowage diagram, which indicates at least two nets, one over each fuel tank. Loyd 4.2 mortar carriers stowage shows a 14' x 14' mortar cam net.

Hi Michael.
It would be for a British Mk1 Mortar Carrier. I have a 25x12 Camo net, but just wanted to make sure as I cant find any info on it. Silly me thinking they would all be a standard size. Mark.......... |
