Hi,
I have a 6V Blackout Stop Signal that lights up when connected to a 6V battery. I have no idea what vehicle it would be used on or what type of receptacle that this "fancy" bulb would plug into. Putting it out there to the MLU experts for suggestions? Thanks!

The canister unit in the photo is a standard WW2 U.S. tail light insert used on everything from motor cycles to tank transporters. Harley Davidson, Jeep, Dodge, GMC, Diamond T, Mack, you name it
The one shown originally goes in the upper position in the right hand tail light assembly. They also came in 12 and I think 24 volt. David

And Indians! Don't forget Indians
![]() I think there are instructions for night time convoys that explain that when you can see the lights as two (each side of the central point) instead of just one merged light ........You are too close! Ron |

I think the bit that has been left out is the fact that they are part of standard "Quarter Master Corps" inventory. Many things in the USA Military are "standardised" and vehicle electrical items are in that category. As long as all the specifications are the same, then that item has the same part number in all the parts books, be it Indian, Jeep, Dodge, Ben Hur trailer, etc.
The US made Jerry cans have QMC pressed into them. The above applies to the WWII era.

Thanks for answering my question Lynn, Ron and David. I don't think I will be needing it on any of my vehicles as they are all either CMP or carriers. I will bring the light with me to the Aquino Tank Day in Oshawa this Saturday if someone wants to trade with me?
Cheers, Richard
