We GENTLEMEN of the Royal Canadian Air Force would never utter such language as "F****king Outstanding!!!!!" We were taught to say, using the proper number of astericks(*) "F**KING OUTSTANDING!!!!!! in a loud and clear cheer... but the idea is the same.. Beauties.....

Well, Alex:
We Marines always assumed one would know what we meant and as we were the poorest of the services knew how to save on letters versus *** which take up less space. Sad to say, based on the films I have seen over the last couple of years, that saying, at least in the US, has been bastardized to "Outf***ing Standing." I have occasion to use the saying in some of my more spirited Managers Meetings when things get out of hand. The other favorite DI term I use, but sparingly, is Maggot which is reserved for egregious breaches of regulations. I've only just arrived home and am on my first draught of the fine Scottish Elixer. If I think of more later, I may return ![]() Bill
