A CMP is iconic: it represented a Cdn produced series of vehicles with a good reputation.

I am sure there are more fitting words for the LSVW. I believe the term "Icon" denotes something with positive attributes, and not some squeeling, underpowered, maintenance nightmare.

Nice to see a group where the owners can share their experiences, parts resources, trials and tribulations. Good luck with it.

And to think the factory, the LCMMs, LETE, and a thousand vehicle techs had it wrong for 23 years. Is this adjustment required daily? Let us know in a year how it works out please.

There was a saying I heard from the auctioneer back when the old M37 Dodges were at their big auction: If they don't squeek they aren't working.

i dont konw if i have a lot of chance or other so i put a video on my other post restoration of the lsvw. I noticed that the rear brake was worn abnormally and the bar that supports the board was floating two rear wheel then I have made two more with a length of 1/8 longer. since the wafer supports are equally over the entire surface . The other problem I noticed was the system charge equalization that changes the hydrolic brake pressure according to the load. This caused a pressure loss and platelets were too low pressure in the back
