Cool Battered Aussie Carrier

G'day everyone. I'm looking for reference pics for NSW Ford built carriers around hull numbers 3500 as I need to rebuild whats left of my carrier. Most needed are pics of the air scoop section which on mine is bolted in. Any info would be appreciated. Regards Barry

Hi Barry, I think I have a couple of Homebush ones here but I'm heading to N.Z at 04:45 in the morning and won't be home for a couple of weeks but I'll get some pics for you when we get back if you still need them.
Colin.

Hi Barry,
Good to see another Tasmanian Carrier owner on the Forum.
I have a NSW Ford built Carrier No. 2814 which has the early internal stowage arrangement and the tools mounted on the side.

A carrier around the 3500 serial number would more than likely have the later internal stowage arrangement and the tools mounted on the rear. The basic manufacture of the hull by Ford may not have changed though. My carrier has the bolted-in air scoop.

Photos of the recovery of my carrier are here;

I have other hull detail photos if they are of any help.

Can you post some photos of your carrier?

Ian

Thanks Colin that would be great.

I am glad to hear that there are still some good carriers around Ian. I have spoken to too many people who said they have cut them up or they went to scrap. The more photos i can get the better. I know it has the late storage as i still have some of the LH side and worked out it has a bolt in scoop from the small piece from behind the driver. I will post more pics when I figure out how
