The "Generator" is actually a Wiles Junior Steam Cooker, a WW2-era field kitchen!

Is a 1944/45 Ford F60S Truck, tipping 2 1/2 yard No3. Nice find indeed. Looks like it's come from somewhere nice and arid and doesn't have a skerrick of rust either.
I hope you got a discount for the lack of air in the tyres!

Hi all, yes it is a wiles cooker and is complete so I better start an outdoor soup kitchen. The truck is just about rust free with all tipping mech still there but just has a very bent tail shaft. He gave me the tyres for nothing Have to do another load today.

I have a feeling a lot of gun tractors were made into cranes like this. I've also seen the elusive F22 version Hanno is interested used in this way too, so if it happens to have the data plate on the dash this could be interesting.

It's probably been said before, but I suppose one advantage of gathering green machines is that hopefully our faces blend in with our backgrounds when we read threads like Colin's..

This little fella is really good. Not sure what type of tray but its original. Its even still got the fire extinguisher in there and the complete unseized engine. This is definately for the resto line.

Not too sure about the originality of the rear body... there weren't too many timber body variations on the Australian CMPs. There was the one on the Fire tender but that was on a C15 chassis and the GS (Aust) No1 was similar but both were shorter at the front to allow for the spare wheel carrier.
But what a great find... I'm sure you'll have it running in no time.
At this rate even you're going to start to run short of space!

OK it was hard to see in the pics. I forgot you've divested yourself of the odd aeroplane so just go for it (I know you are anyway). Very impressed at the number and quality of artifacts turning up. Looking forward to ID details in due course.

That little F15 looks astonishingly original......are you sure that paint on the Cab is not RAAF blue??

If it was original, perhaps it should have TLC to the drive train & tyres and nothing else???

What ever the outcome, pleased youve got it Colin cause we all know on here what they look like when you fix em up.

Unfortunatly it is missing all the steam cooking bins at the back like mine.
Look like you still have the Urn on the RHS which is good.

Here is mine and also a complete one at Bandiana.
I have one bin you can use as a sample if you want to make some.

Thanks everyone for your input. I will have another close look at the little blitz. Jeff, not sure if I will do up the field kitchen as I think someone else with more interest in it would be better. If anyone is keen just let me know. This has all come from the same place which is a bonus for me!

Keith, these are the only numbers I could find. I'm pretty sure the little F15 was a fire tender and the tray looks like its always been there unless it was put on during the war or shortly after.

Yes it does look like it was built that way. The RAAF had some bodies unique to them. They used medium and long wheelbase specialised fire tenders so quite likely there was a short wheelbase one too.
It's an F15A and it has an interesting feature. This is the first F15A I've seen with canvas doors. All other late production ones I've seen so far have the standard steel doors, even though the prototype for canvas doors was based on a F15. Live and learn!
