Default Backing plate for CDLV 242/505 "lifting rings"

Hi guys!

Would anyone know if the lifting rings on Jeeps used backing plates? In the affirmative, what was the thicknes?

Lifting Rings (so designated in official paperwork!): These may have used backing plates, but I am not sure if only at the front or also at the rear.

They are not listed in the parts sections of the list of special parts to the CDLVs. It says only "Lifting ring and bracket assembly" A-5061. With screws 3/8'' -24 x1 and Nuts 3/8-24 and Lockwashers 3/8''. So not listed. But I believe the were there, possibly as a part part of the "assembly A-5061"...

It is pictured on the front bumper in the book "Jeep Willys MB "slat grill" canadienne" on page 33. But we already know the book is not 100% correct...but the listed bolt is 1'' long...so, it seems plausible that there was more than yust the front end ring, bumper and washer/nut.

Hmm?
