CMP Bus anyone

while browsing through a couple of hundred pics out of almost 20000 (and I intend to look at the lot over time) I discovered this CMP bus in Japan circa 1950.

Photo is part of the Victorian State Librarys collection here in Australia. Sorry no URL as I got the pic through the back door.
