Default Rear Fenders for F8, No. 11 - Questions

Since my truck did not come with the original fenders I'll be needing to fabricate a pair along with their supports. Could somebody give me the length and width of the fenders? Having that I can bend the piece to match the arc shown in the attached pictures. As for their supports, some pictures and measurements would also appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

Default guards

fenders of guards , depends on where u are

I made them up at the local tafe here ( tech school ) using their sheet metal shaper . I didn't have access to a wire edging machine , so I cheated. I soldered a length of tubing around the edge and then filed back the join ....it looks reasonable.

The dimensions are in the CD .... I scanned most of the 1A1 drawings and posted a few copies around to people . I cannot verify the accuracy of the drawings as I was flying blind , making up the body from scratch . It all fitted together Ok, but I had to guess a few things here and there .

Default more piccies

I learn't quite a bit of sheet metal and fabricating skills out of the project . There were a few tricky items to make up , like the spare wheel mounts .

Default Cd

Jim

My CD burner is presently out of action .. but I can do a copy in town . I think I mailed a copy to David P. some years ago, it may be included in the info he is putting together for you ? Don't worry you will get it one way or the other .

Some errors in the drawings I recall are : The lower locker ( bolts to front panel ) floor dimensions are short by an inch or two. The chap who did the drawings had access to the 1A2 bodied C8, now owned by Nick Bullock in Yorkshire. It's an original Beath body on that truck . The rear bows are made up though.

Default F8, Cab 11 Rear Fender Supports

Mike;
I couldn't find any drawings among those I received that show the measurements for the rear fender supports. Could you send me these either in a drawing form or just the measurements covering the various shapes of the support. I've attached pictures that you sent me which are of these supports.

Thanks!
Jim

Default fender

Jim

The chap in England who did all of the measuring, cut out a cardboard template of the fender supports, rather than drawing them .

They are folded out of 16 gauge .. 1.6mm sheet .

2x LH and 2x RH

I'll have a go on paint shop stand by
