The City of Waterloo will dedicate a park to local veterans on Sat 2 Oct 2005. This celibration will involve a street parade starting at 1330 and a dedication ceremony at the new park site. Please be prepared to arrive intown by 1200.
I have been asked to co-ordinate the re-enactors and veh for the parade and a period of static display. My city contact ( Sgt Zach) is co-ordinating a few floats for heavier loads, and the city will provide lunch and a certificate. I'm negotiating a fuel stipend as we speak. Would veh owners please contact me through this means if they are interested in participating? A full range of service uniforms would be a nice touch, if possible covering as many of the services and units as possible. I've tried to attach a pic of the Goderich parade hosted by Gordon Yeo earlier this spring.

Charlie, as per our earlier PMs, I would very much like to attend with the International halftrack. Float, fuel and food would certainly work for me... I am assuming that period accoutriments such as "hardware" would be welcome?

I can't see any reason why the "tools of the trade" would not be in order. No ammo of course, stow and handle them correctly, and there can't be any room for complaints.

Things are looking good for this function. The city is trying to be very helpful. Fuel allowance, lunch...what more could you want? There is room for a few more Veh, if any one else wants to come along... just reply here and I'll give you the details.
So far The FAT, one crappy carrier, the IHC half track, the Caldwell water truck, two other 15 CWT, and I have another 6 veh to confirm. The LT Gov will be there, and wants to ride in an army truck.

Perry, I'll check into that.
Plan on being here in time for lunch. As long as one of us has a towrope, we should be fine. Too bad you can't bring the sexton...

Geez Charlie if the pre-parade and post parade carrier antics are anything like Goderich everybody better have a rope! The carriers only seem to behave when on the parade route.
