Why I keep tearing down front axles...

Here are some pictures of my original CAb 11 front axle.....

See the outer bearing race....... both held in place with various tickness of brass shims. Once the shims are removed the bearing race spins freely..... sound like someone had siezed and spun the whole bearing assembly....... I am working on two other axles to get the best parts of the lot......
