| Verrrry interesting!

The only comment I can offer is a paralell development in Australia where there are some double skinned doors in existence without any pattern at all. I have one of these (NOS) in my collection and have always assumed these were made post-war as replacement parts, and are possibly without a pattern because the original presses had been destroyed. But in the case of your door I don't have a satisfactory explanation. Possibly it was another of the prototype designs?

The recess is for a metal schematic of iether the electrical system or the same in a lubrication chart. My C15A had the wiring diagram in the drivers door, but I have seen both plates although they were not attached to a vehicle at the time. The Build date on my C15A was July 20 44. I have pics I'll try to scan and Post.

Found them and got the scanner working. The top one is a lubrication chart of of a C60 The bottom one is more universal and is the one I found on my door, unfortunatly mine had been painted over and while I tried to just remove the over paint it also burned off most of the printing. It still shows as the process resulted in a sort of raised etching. I haven't found a similar door and I do need a right side door fopr My C60L . |

My build date was 13 Jun 44. Perhaps yours and mine were part of the same LV Contract?
