Can anyone tell me where the control lever for the hydrolic tipper on Chev CMP's is located please.
A photo or diagram would be nice if possible. cheers Cliff ![]() |

OK no hits so lets see if you guys agree with me.
Would the leaver for the hydrolic unit have been located in the same place as the winch control assuming that the truck was not also fitted with a winch? I base this on the fact that the hydrolic pump was transfer case operated. cheers Cliff ![]() PS> I only ask this dumb question 'cause apart from photos I have never seen a real CMP tipper with the hoist up or any other tipper of a similer type up either and while I understand the princibles behind the theory I am not an 'equipment plant' person. |

In fact this is not a good prescription. It was built as a Tractor, Arty No.6 (Aust), as the data plate in the cab attests. That's why it has a winch. The tipping body is from another truck altogether. ![]() ![]() Have a look at my page on tippers which also shows one of the first types, ironically fitted with dual rear wheels. And courtesy of Phillip Hillier of Broken Hill this shot of the interior of his F60S tipper No.3 ![]() More pics of this one here.

Thanks Keith. Easy to see how mixed up a lot of these trucks became post war.
