I think what Charlie means is that these guns are very elusive, and sought by many, including him ( and myself ).

Charlie is such a nice fellow that I suspect that if he found a pile of them, he would let us all know about it.

The last I heard, there were some laying about in South America, and I can never get the time off work to drive down and have a look.

The one in your picture is an American 57-mm AT gun, the one you describe is a Commonwealth 6-pdr AT gun.

When Australian troops were sent to East Timour? some years ago, I seem to remember seeing a number of 6 Pounders on news reports, dotted round the island as play things for children.

Perhaps some one more local could make further enquires.
