![]() Besides, it seems to me to be awfully stupid for a bunch of over paid muscle bound jerks who attempt to move a piece of oval brown leather(?) forward about 5 feet and have tons of stupid whistles blasting away whilst above jerks re-assemble theirselves for another stupid half yard gain. National drunk?...national bore. ![]() PS...Who won? Who cares! ![]()

CFL players over-paid? I think not. League minimum is something like $23,000, with the average somewhere around $50,000, and that, only because of the one or two players a team who make the big bucks....maybe $400 - 500 thousand. So over paid muscle-bound jerks they are not....they might be muscle bound jerks, but they definatly aren't over-paid.
Actually, I think it's pretty fair what CFL players get paid. I couldn't afford to live off of the league minimum, but even the average of $50,000 is quite decent...lets the guy make a living, while not making more than someone of true value to society, like doctors, or police or fire persons.... ...and the game is more entertaining than the boring NFL, which has about as much excitement as watching CMP paint dry ![]() Tim

During the 1962 "Fog Bowl", I, and other Signal Corps guys, drove Chamber of Commerce officials around in our Chev 15 cwt WIRE-5s as part of the pre-game hype. (Calgary horse riding guys rode their mounts into the Royal York Hotel's rotunda). We got to sit inside Varsity Stadium, in our CMPs, to try and watch the game...up to about the 3rd quarter. If you might recall, the game was called on Saturday, due to absolute no viz situation. The 4th quarter had to be played on Sunday. Forget who won...didn't care then, don't care now. History lesson ends.
