Two boxes of repair parts were donated for auction at our club summer rally this past weekend. The question is what is in the boxes? One thing that is interesting is that I understood that the T-17 was a General Motors product but these boxes are clearly marked Ford. I have left the cosmoline covered boxes alone, to give who ever needs them the pleasure of opening. Will send to who ever can identify what’s in the boxes or has a T-17 and wants them, Cost $5 (what I paid to keep them from being throw in junk pile, no other bids) plus postage, payment in cash or CMP parts.
So who knows what is in the boxes? MFG Part NO. 373429

Phil, I have no idea what's in the boxes but am willing to take a gamble. Do you ship overseas? If so, please let me know what it will cost to send the boxes to The Netherlands. If not, I might come up with an address in Canada.
Thanks, Hanno Quote:

Sadly, no. All I ever found of the T17 Deerhound is a wartime pic of one in use in the USA. Phil's boxes are the only physical T17 remains I know of. Someone needs to preserve them! Doesn't LWD have a Ford part number cross reference manual? Is MFG Part NO. 373429 listed? H.

Your mistery boxes are filled with 2 Bendix repair kits of a Hydrovac I guess. Packed by Ford for T-17 and used by General Motors T17E1, G122-037342(9). Bendix NO. 37342(9) (hand writing) the last NO. is maybe a 2. For an example on the picture, 2 same repair kits from Bendix packed by General Motors and used by White G102-0303666. Mvg. Dirk ![]() |

Hello all,
Taking in account the dimensions of the box (in inches I presume) it looks like Phil has two complete repair kits (including the parts for the vacuum cilinder) for the Hydrovac used on T17. T17 used two Hydrovacs, just like T17E1, this might be the reason that there are two boxes in one package. T17E1 hydrovac part number is BX373100 and the repair kit has number B245027. Sometime ago I found a photo from a T17 which seems to have survived in Brazil. The photo is quite bad but still interesting. Cheers, Marco

First, Hanno the parts are yours if you want them, would rather trade for parts than send money back and forth send me a private message with address. Looking for small stuff for the my Pattern 12 that I can’t find over here.
Second, now that we have identified that this looks to be brake system parts, the vendor who donated these had two strange brake booster units that look like a variant on the hydrovac units also covered in cosmoline. Would any body know what the brake units would look like, I’ll try and get pictures. Third yes the dimensions are in inches.

As Hanno doesn’t have the rest of the vehicle he has declined the parts and wants them to go to someone who can use them, what I’m trying to do, also is get the parts to someone who can use them, and have a little amusement for the group about the mystery in the process. So if you have a T17 that you think these parts would fit and are interested in them lets hear from you, besides now I curious who has a T17 and which T17 these parts really fit. I am checking to get pictures from the vendor who had these boxes as he had two unidentified brake booster units also covered in cosmoline.

If we need to quarrel over these boxes I suggest Phil auctions them on Ebay and donate the profit towards Keeping Maple Leaf Up!... H.

Hello Phil,
When you open one of the boxes you will probably find a parts list glued on top. I think it is similar to the one on the photo below which is from the T17E1 hydrovac (second series, H25-10V-92. dual line) repair kit. The list would make identifying the parts more easy. Best regards, Marco

Phil, did you manage to offload those parts?
If not, why not send them to the Museu do Comando Militar do Sul in Brazil. This museum has another(!) surviving Deerhound. Regards, Hanno ![]() ![]() ![]()
