Mike
Yonks ago you asked the question and I only just found it - Are the monthly job sheets you mentioned listed on the AWM war diary PDF archives , or have you done a search manually ? I cannot find them on the AWM war diary list on their web site ? Mike The answer is that most of the monthly work sheets are found in the Electricial and Mechanical Engineers diaries. AWM 52 - 14 series. These have not yet been digitised and I don't think will for some time. Sometimes, the LAD diaries and work sheets are included in the parent unit diary. An example is 20 Inf Bde in the early to mid 1941 period which contains LAD work sheets. Now that I am digitally photographing pages I probably should revisit the LADs and get a set of copies. cheers Shane |

Thanks Shane . It would be remarkable if one of us found a vehicle that was mentioned in one of the work sheets .
I am still hoping one day to sort out the reg. numbers seen on the morris commercial trucks used by the AIF in Palestine . They have a O prefix with a 4 digit number following . The number plates are seen on the front , mounted on the radiator bar . My PU wreck has one of these numbers on the bonnet . Can you help Shane ? Mike

I can't quite read any of the census numbers on these low-res. images but based on the early details, I suspect that they are 1939 contract KM20s. Rich. |

I checked the number on my PU wreck .
It is: O 36?0 the 3rd digit is unreadable . It could possibly be O 3670 which would make it next it line to the AWM pic CS8 above ! This means my PU wreck has been to Palestine ... and shipped to Australia . I wonder if the weird O prefix numbers were issued by the British civil service in Palestine . The vehicles still retain their Z numbers as seen in some pics . Mike

Surviving on the bonnet and just readable .
O 36?0 This PU had been used as a super spreader on a farm near Winton , Victoria . Home made wooden rear deck . Mike

The contract card for the above vehicle came from Richard N via R Ballard via the Bovington library ?

This AWM pic taken at Tolga vehicle park Queensland , 1944 , shows a PU Morris Commercial being dismantled . How did it a PU get to QLD in 1944 ? I suspect it is a staged photo for the camera , looks fake to me .

No.1 battery of the 2/1st field regiment in Palestine 1940 .
The PU is flanked by at least one CS8 . The other vehicles are a line of MCC CDFW's I think . Mike

Did you have an opportunity to look at the 20 Inf Bde on-line diaries? This should show you the format used in the work sheets. cheers Shane |
