Sad news. . . . last weekend, during one of the many liberation commemoration drives, a C60L hit a Dodge Weapons Carrier in the rear. Four to six occupants of the Dodge were wounded and taken to hospital. The police is conducting an investigation into the causes of the accident.
As you can see, the Dodge was hit hard in the right-hand rear corner by the C60L's left-hand front corner. Seems the co-driver smashed his head through the window? For more pics click here. Here's hoping all involved will live to tell  H.

Indeed, Hanno... it looks like a nasty collision. I hope the casualties will survive. The damage to both vehicles indicate the impact was severe.

Hi Hanno
Thank you for posting the incident; it is a cautionary lesson for all drivers of antique or modern vehicles military vehicles. Hope that all involve have a speedy and full recovery from their injuries. If you can please keep us posted as what is determined to be the cause and how the accident occurred. Where the vehicles traveling at road speed? From the lack of people on the sides of the road it would appear that this did not occur during a parade. From the broken windshield on the C60 was there a passenger? Were they injured? Was the C60 equipped with seatbelts? As editor of our local military vehicle club newsletter I would like to do a write up so if the cause was avoidable we can learn from it. As the driver of a C60 is a personal warning to be very careful of following distance.

Yes indeed sad news!!
And do hope the occupants of the vehicles are not to badly wonded! Do not know how it is arround the world, but luckily in Norway it is the veteran MV's that has most seldom accidents among all veteran vehicles regardless type. Many Years there is no accidents with MV's involved reported. Rolf

Accident
Anyway this is not good for our hobby. There's a lot of people who'd like to see our vehicles in the scrapyard, they may very well use this as an excuse...
Let's not give them a reason! Drive safely! Marty
