Hi Ledsel,
It seems that they used them for almost everything, there were a few of these made up after the war in Qld, I knew the son of the man who did them they were intended to be used in small market gardens, when I met the son he had a large amount of spare parts that had been removed from the carriers as they were converted, lots of bins tools spare wheels springs, and even the transfer cases used in the 2 pounder carrier,I bought a lot of stuff in those days,I am yet to find a carrier fitted with wings, but who knows Regards, Ron,

Hi James,
The shed is only going to be 12 mtrs X 15mtrs its one of those American barn types with an up stairs part, might come in handy that bit, its only for the carriers the work shop with all the power tools will be attached to one side, I have three roller doors at each end so no problem in extending it out the back, Regards, Ron

Also saw some pics from a dive site on some of the shipwrecks in Darwin Harbour which showed carriers on the deck and scattered on the harbour floor. Must have been either the Meigs or the Mauna Loa But I don't think they were designed to go under sea! |

Hi Rob.
Just kiding around I like to thump the track with a big hammer heat works great also. Now Vinegar?? its great on a salad and with chips, works treat on ammo that has been fired loaded with black powder, drop the empty case spent primer removed first into a glass container with brown vivegar, leave in there for twenty minutes rinse with cold water and wipe dry, the caes will last forever Regards, Ron,
