While I have not seen any reference to them being used in the Pacific or Far East I do have some copies of AWM photos captioned as showing them training in the Northern Territory and Darwin. The 2pd'er was an effective anti tank gun on the lighter Japanese tanks.

The 2pdr Portee on a 134"wb CMP was used by the Aust 4th Anti-Tank Regiment in Malaya and Singapore. Their Vehicles, along with the rest of the Australian 8th Division were captured with the fall of Singapore.
